IT'S TIME FOR A FLASKBACK

                     AND WHAT A FLASHBACK!!!!!

“Lower! Higher! More return! Everything more!”
His slogan still echoes among Brazilian parties of all generations and social classes, where his music became synonym of joy and romance.
Born on September, 28th, 1942 at Afonso Pena Street, he was named Sebastião Rodrigues Maia. Tim Maia created a unique style, based on a fusion of rhythms, humor and passion for everything in excess. And he lived it, loudly and clearly. His vertiginous path challenges the imagination of any fictionist and made him one of the richest, funniest and most original characters of Brazil’s recent History. He created one of the most hilarious characters: the anarchic “syndic”, controversial and uncontrollable, defying law and order in the name of music and freedom. Unfortunately, Tim paid the price of his freedom and independency with uncountable fights and law suits by record labels and managers, becoming one of the first Brazilian musicians that could manage his own record label, having total control of his career.
Before becoming totally dedicated to his passion, the music, Tim had many different jobs, including trying to live the American Dream, and entertaining tourists back in Brazil. After that we all know the history: a musician that lived the sound and the fury of his passionate art.
On March, 8th of 1998, Tim Maia left the stage and didn’t come back. This time the show just couldn’t go on.
But we know: TIM MAIA LIVES IN OUR HEARTS FOREVER.

ENJOY WHAT IS REALLY GOOD:
