In Brazil there are lots of types of music, like funk, forró, axé, MPB and so on. But there’s one which is the most popular in Brazil and that is what we are talking about. It is SAMBA! This type of music is a Brazilian characteristic that attracts all the people in the world to know this rhythm.
It’s important to say that samba was born in Brazil a long time ago and it’s still very popular today. The most important samba expression is the Carnival, and that’s why a lot of people come to Brazil for this big party. Everybody goes to a big avenue and watches the samba school parade. It is so funny, you can dance, you can sing. In Brazil there are many types of samba: “samba-enredo”, “samba – rock”, “samba de raiz”, “samba – marchinha”, etc.
Samba is the most popular type of Brazilian music in the world. People dance more during Carnival. When people from another country listen to samba in Carnival, most of them like it. They always want to come to Rio de Janeiro for the Carnival because it’s the best in the world.
